DHAKA: Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla And Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three.

According to met office marine warning message, Squally weather may continue over North Bay, adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh and the maritime ports due to strong monsoon, deep convection.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.

Due to active monsoon over Bangladesh, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Dhaka And Chittagong divisions during next 24 hrs commencing 12 noon Thursday, the met office added.
