Hindi songs banned as ringtone

DHAKA: The High Court (HC) imposed ban on Hindi songs as ringtones or welcome tunes for mobile phones.

An HC bench comprising Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Kazi M Ejarul Haque Akanda passed the order following writ on Thursday.

Earlier on May 11, Supreme Court ordered that the national anthem cannot be used as ringtones or welcome tunes of mobile phones.
