12 more trafficking victims return from M’sia

DHAKA: A total of 12 Bangladeshis, who were trafficked into Malaysia through sea, returned home from Malaysia on Friday.

A flight BG-187 of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying them landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 5:30pm.

Senior Assistant Police Super (ASP) of airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) Alamgir Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said the victims will be sent to their homes after completing interrogation by International Organisation of Migration (IOM) and members of law enforcing agencies.

Earlier on July 7 and 8, a total of 192 trafficking victims returned home from Malaysia.
