DHAKA: The fire that broke out at Karnaphuli Garden City in city’s Shantinagor area, has been brought under control on Saturday morning.

The fire originated at a shop around 9:07am and thick smoke was seen coming from the market building.

Fire Service headquarters’ duty officer Moynul Islam said on information, seven firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the fire control after half an hours’ effort.  

The reason of the fire could not be known immediately.
