DHAKA: Three people were killed in separate incidents of electrocution in city on Saturday.
A technician Mohammad Rusel (18) died when he was fixing AC on the first floor of Janata Bank in Moghbazar intersection.
Rusel’s employer Baset Ali told banglanews that the victim went to fix the AC of the Janata Bank. He was electrocuted there. He was immediately rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries around 5:15pm.
Earlier at noon, a construction worker Masud (28) was killed in city’s Banani area after being electrocuted at his workplace.
He was also rushed to DMCH where declared dead on arrival.
DMCH police camp assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Another incident of electrocution took place in Bamnartek area in Turag. A rickshaw-puller Abdul Khaleque (30) was repairing his rickshaw in the garage. He was electrocuted while wielding iron.
