Amjad Chowdhury laid to rest

DHAKA: Pran-RFL business group founder and also chief executive officer (CEO) Amjad Khan Chowdhury has laid to rest on Wednesday afternoon.

He has been buried at military graveyard in city’s Banani area at 3:30pm.

One minute silence and a guard of honor by the army were paid to him before the burial.

BNP standing committee member Lieutenant General (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, Gonosasthya founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, former army chief Nur Uddin, the deceased’s family members and relations were present during the burial.

Amjad’s second namaz-e-janaza was held at Bangladesh Military Museum playground at 2:15pm while the first janaza was held at Ghorashal Pilot High School playground in Palash upazila of Narsingdi district at 8:00am in the day.

Earlier on July 8, Amjad Khan Chowdhury died at Duke Hospital of North Carolina in the USA at the age of 76. He had been suffering from diabetes and heart diseases for a long.

However, his dead body was landed at Hazrat Shajalal International Airport in city at 5:45pm on July 14.
