DHAKA: Police, in overnight drives, detained four dacoits with firearms in city’s Rampura area on Sunday.

The detainees were identified as Masum alias Baitta Masum (25), Shah Alam alias Rod Shah Alam (26), Arman (22) and Rubel (23).

Two foreign-made pistols, four rounds of bullets and three machetes were also seized from the detainees’ possession.

Rampura Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Mahbub confirmed the matter to banglanews.
