DHAKA: Three members of a family sustained burn injuries as a fire broke out at their house caused by explosion in gas pipeline in Tulabagicha area of capital’s Jurain area early Monday.

The injured are identified as Khorshed Alam, 40, (received 28 percent burns) his wife Jahura, 30, (received burns in hand, leg, and face) and their son Tifat, 6 (5 percent burnt).

Neighbors rescued them and sent them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).  

Mridul, one of the neighbors of the victims at DMCH, said that hearing the scream of them around 2:30am, we rushed to the house.   Then we doused the fire.
