DHAKA: A man was burnt along with his nephew and niece in a fire at their house at Central Road in Hatirpool in the capital on Saturday morning.

The fire broke out around 7:45 am. On information, fire fighting unit rushed in and doused the flame.

Burn injured Delwar Hossain said, “My maternal uncle Fazlur Rahman was reading newspaper at drawing room and I was lying in bed.”

“I opened the door when our domestic help belled the door and I went back to bed. Few moments later I heard a blast sound and saw fire,” he added.

They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Kolabagan Thana SI Saiful Islam told banglanews, the cause of the fire is not yet known.
