DHAKA: Home secretary Dr Mohammad Mozammel Haque categorically said that there is no India separatist in Bangladesh soil.
He made this assertion while briefing the media after the Bangladesh-India home secretary level meeting in Dhaka on Tuesday.
However, the two-day secretary level talks began on November 16 upholding several bilateral issues between the two neighboring countries.
On Tuesday morning, the meeting was held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel.
In the briefing, Bangladesh home secretary said both the countries have made a consensus regarding the exchange of information in fighting terrorism.
‘We have also agreed on reducing border killing to zero by conducting joint program,’ he added.
According to the secretary, the detained fishermen of both countries will be handed over to the authorities concerned through extradition treaty.
‘BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed will be deported from India after legal procedure.’
The home secretary further said that India is not informed about the hiding of Bangabandhu killers in their soil.
‘The India government will extradite the criminals, if they find them,’ he added.
