DHAKA: US ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat expressed her government’s eagerness to assist Bangladesh airport security boosting.

The envoy made this disclosure to the media after a meeting with civil aviation and tourism minister Rashed Khan Menon at the secretariat in city on Tuesday.

Replying to question on her satisfaction on Bangladesh security system, Bernicut said, ‘We will not say that we are dissatisfied. But we are working together to improve the existing security system’.

‘US government has always been assisting Bangladesh for boosting it security system for past 44 years.’

‘We are also working with other nations in security issue,’ she added.

Appreciating the Bangladesh government’s initiatives in security issue, the US ambassador said, ‘We are observing that Bangladesh government is fighting terrorism and law enforcers are also active in this issue’.
