DHAKA: Seven former officials of defunct Oriental Bank have been jailed for life in corruption case over disbursing loan illegally in unusual speed.
Dr Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman, Judge of Dhaka-5 Special Judges Court, passed the order on Tuesday.
All the accused are at large while they were jailed to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment each for embezzling Tk 1 crore in the name of disbursement.
