DHAKA: A Dhaka court framed charges against 13 accused, including Tazreen Fashion MD Delwar Hossian, his wife Mahmuda Akter in a case filed over his factory fire that killed 112 workers in 2012.

Dhaka district and session judge SM Kuddus Zaman passed the order on Thursday after indictment hearing.

The court also fixed October 1 for recording deposition in the case.

The 13 other accused are Engineer S Mahbubul Morshed, Factory Manager Abdur Razzak, Quality Manager Shahiduzzaman Dulal and Production Manager Mobarak Hossain Manju, Administrative Officer Dulal Uddin, Store In-charge Hamidul Islam Lablu, Security Supervisor Al Amin, In-charge Anisur Rahman and Store In-charge (thread) Al-Amin and loader Shamim Mia.

On June 16, a Dhaka court accepted a charge-sheet against 13 people, including Tazreen Fashions managing director and owner Delwar Hossain and his wife over the fire at Tazreen Fashions Ltd.

On December 22, 2013, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police submitted charge-sheet against 13 people over the fatal accident.

On November 24, 2012, a deadly inferno in Tazreen Fashion Limited had killed over 111 workers.

After 13 months of the incident, police submitted the charge-sheet.
