DHAKA: A Dhaka court has granted bail to Hummam Quader Chowdhury, son of death row war crimes convict Salauddin Quader Chowdhury.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Qaisarul Alam’s court passed the order on Sunday noon.

Earlier, Hummam was produced before the court and lawyer Fayekuzzaman Firoz move for the bail.

On September 5, police arrested Hummam, a warranted accused in an attempt to murder case filed with city’s Gulshan Thana in 2008, from his Dhanmondi residence.

After the arrest police, produced Hummam before the CMM court which asked to sent the accused in jail and fixed Sunday as date for hearing.
