DHAKA: The outgoing ambassador of Thailand to Dhaka Madurapochana Ittarong called on foreign minister A H Mahmood Ali at the ministry Sunday.
During this farewell call on, the FM expressed his gratitude on behalf of the government of Bangladesh to the Thai government for holding the special meeting on the management of irregular migration in Bangkok on 29 May this year.
Mentioning Bangladesh as one of the major exporters of pharmaceuticals, the foreign minister proposed for exchange of business delegation between Bangladesh and Thailand.
He thanked the outgoing Thai ambassador for her sincere efforts in strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.
Mahmood Ali wished her good health and success in next working station back home.
Ambassador Madurapochana Ittarong informed the foreign minister about the interest of Thai investors in the area of exploration of minerals and petroleum resources in the Bay of Bengal.
Mentioning her stay in Dhaka for more than three years very blissful, the ambassador also thanked the government of Bangladesh specially the foreign affairs ministry for all kinds of supports extended to her.
