RAJSHAHI: One out of 30 cattle businessmen, who became sick falling victims of a 'doping party' on Sunday, died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Juj Mian, 40, son of Fazlur Rahnam, hailed from Shibpur Upazila of Narsingdi district.
He breathed his last around 5:30am while undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of RMCH.
His body has been kept at morgue of the hospital and will be handed over to family members after autopsy.
Shah Makhdum Thana sub-inspector (SI) Motiur Rahman told banglanews that 30 cattle traders have fallen sick becoming victim of Agyan party at Bypass Cattle Market. Later one of them died on Monday dawn.
Process is underway to file a case in this connection, he added.
Of the sick people, six were admitted to RMCH in first phases. They are-- Juj Mian, 40, Kalu, 30, Belal Hossain, 30, Iqbal, 48, Khairul Alam, 20, and Abdur Rashid, 35.
Later, the rest of others were admitted to the hospital. Of them, Jaj Mian died and condition of others is better now, said hospital sources.
The group of cattle traders took breakfast in a market area restaurant and after wiping their mouths with tissue papers, they fell sick.
