DHAKA: Robbers looted 30 bhories of gold ornaments and Tk 1-lakh from a banker’s house at Goran in city’s Khilgaon area on Sunday.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mainul Islam of Khilgaon Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Foyez Uddin, a tenant of the house, told banglanews that those three members of dacoit gang stormed into the building cutting the grill and made him hostage at gunpoint.

Later, they went to the flat of house owner KM Golam Kabir Kochi in the second floor and robbed gold ornaments and cash.

NCC Bank officer Golam Kabir, 52, and Farid Uddin, 57, relative of his tenant, sustained injuries during the attack of the robbers, the OC added.

They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and later, were shifted to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital.
