PATHARGHATA (BORGUNA): At least 20 fishermen and 50 fishing trawlers are missing due to stormy wind created in the Bay of Bengal.

District trawler owners’ association president Golam Mustafa confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said that the fishermen and fishing trawlers could not reach the shore due to rough weather.

‘We do not know about their condition,’ Mustafa added.

Pathaghata upazila fishermen association president Siddique Majhi told banglanews that they are trying to find out the missing fishermen.

Meanwhile, Barguna district trawler workers union president Abdul Mannan Majhi feared causality due to stormy weather.
