KHULNA: All sixteen accused of college student Mustafa Kabir murder case got life imprisonment on Sunday.

Khulna divisional speedy trial judge (district and session judge) MA Rob Hawladar passed the order.

The court also ordered the convicts to pay Tk 5,000 each or one year rigorous imprisonment in default.

Public Prosecutor Enamul Haque said that a group of people killed Mustafa Kabir, a class-XI student of Jhikargachha Shahid Mashiur Rahman Degree College, following a dispute with some people of Barni village of Jhikorgaccha upazila of Jessore district in 2006.

The convicts include Abdul Gafur, Abdus Salam, Abul Khayer Member, Mohammad Habibur Rahman Habib, Hasanuzzaman alias Hasan-1 and 2, Abdul Jabbar, Faruk, Billah Hossain, Altaf Hossain, Sujat Ali, Azim, Shahid Mirza Topu, Sultan Ahmed Bhuiyan, Motakabbir alias Kubbar and Maruf.
