Sheikh Hasina further said, “With the continuation of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has been adopted at UNGA. Setting 17 development goals, 169 in the immediate targets have been defined.”

“Bangladesh played a significant role in the goal setup.”

During the tour, she received the ‘Champions of the Earth’ award from UNEP executive director Achim Steiner.
