BNP remarks, reactions ‘indicating’ Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina smelled involvement of BNP-Jamaat in killing the two foreign nationals saying that the remarks of a BNP leader and his reactions over the killing of an Italian aid worker are giving such indication.

“Both of the murders were well-planed as similar style was followed in the killing mission of two foreign nationals. No bullet missed the targets,” she added.

The killings had been conducted to destabilize the country. “Whenever any offence occurs, we take measures to bring the perpetrators under trial,” the PM opined.

She made this assertion at the press briefing on Bangladesh’s participation at 70th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) held at Ganabhaban in city on Sunday.

According to her, trial of anti-liberation elements, crimes against humanity is underway here. Whenever execution of death sentence of any war criminal comes, a vested quarter tries to destabilize the country.

“The quarter will continue it. They will continue their conspiracy,” Sheikh Hasina said, “We will continue trial of people who conducted crimes against humanity. On the other hand, they tolerate it silently. Is it believable?”

They will hatch their conspiracy but will not succeed, she added.

The PM went on saying, “These are being carried out to obstruct country’s development. But we will foil their all evil attempts. We had resisted the perpetrators in past and will do so in future.

Earlier on Saturday (October 3), the Prime Minister returned home after attending the 70th Session of the UNGA in New York.

During the tour, she received the ‘Champions of the Earth’ award from UNEP executive director Achim Steiner.
