DHAKA: The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday sued four deputy secretaries among 53 officials concerned on charge of appointing incompetent candidates as food inspectors depriving eligible persons.
ACC deputy director Mohammad Monirul Haque, also investigating officer, filed the case with Shahbagh Police Station in city.
The accused deputy secretaries are: Nasima Begum of textiles and jute, and Rokeya Khatun of public administration ministries, Mahbubur Rahman Faruqui of public service commission (PSC), and Mohammad Iftekhar Hossain of public administration.
Besides, the director (procurement) of food directorate Ilahi Dad Khan was also made an accused in the case.
