DHAKA: Railways minister Mazibul Hoque said that the government is planning to introduce circular train around the city to ease traffic congestion.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given her approval in this regard, he added.

The minister made this disclosure at ‘Meet the Press’ of Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) on Wednesday.

Mazibul said that the survey for circular train is underway. Then project proposal will be produced to get Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approval.

According to him, the government will construct double-lane gradually across the country.

The minister hoped that the shortage of coach, locomotives and manpower will be solved within one year.
