Rajon murder accused Kamrul brought back home

DHAKA: Kamrul Islam, the prime accused of minor boy Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon killing case, has been brought back home from Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

Three police officials along the accused landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 3:00pm.

Earlier on October 11, they went to Saudi Arabia to bring the accused back home.

Earlier foreign ministry said that the Saudi authorities have agreed to deport Kamrul following the joint efforts made by Bangladesh foreign ministry, police headquarters and Bangladesh Mission.

A group of expatriate Bangladeshis caught Kamrul on on July 13 and handed over him to Saudi police.

On July 8, Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon (13) was beaten dead on suspicion of stealing a rickshaw-van in Kumargaon in Sylhet. The video clips of beating, which was posted online, created widespread criticism both at home and abroad.
