SAVAR, DHAKA: Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Moragang area of Ashulia in Savar on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Majid Akand, 60, passenger of a taxicab, hailed from Targachh area of Gazipur district and its driver Sumon, 38.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Ashulia Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Mohsin Qader said a speedy bus ran over the taxicab in the area, leaving the duo dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were sent to local hospital, the OC added.
