DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday placed two accused in a case filed for killing former chairman of Power Development Board (PDB) engineer Khijir Khan on a two-day remand.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Rashed Talukder passed the order after hearing a 10-day remand petition filed by detective branch (DB) of police.
The two accused are Tariqul Islam Tareq and Alek Bepari.
In a separate drive, on Wednesday, police arrested the duo from Tangail district and Mirpur in Dhaka city.
Two cameras and two laptops, presumably stolen from murder scene, were also recovered from their possession.
On October 5, miscreants murdered PDB former-chairman Khijir Khan by slitting his throat in Madhya Badda area in the capital.
