DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday constituted a three-member committee to investigate whether on-duty police showed negligence in discharging their duties during the time of crude bomb blast at Hussaini Dalan at the older part of the city.

DMP additional commissioner (crimes) Sheikh Maruf Hasan will lead the team.

Two other members of the committee are -- DMP joint commissioner (operations) Mir Rezaul Alam and DMP deputy commissioner (DB, South) Masruqur Rahman Khaled.

DMP deputy commissioner (media center) Muntasirul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said the committee was asked to submit its report within seven days.
