SAVAR, DHAKA:  Police arrested Dhaka district unit BNP vice-president and also former lawmaker Dr Dewan Mohammad Salauddin Babu in a sabotage case.

Savar Model Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Kamruzzaman told banglanews that Salahuddin was picked up from his Paribagh residence in the city on Sunday morning.

Police filed case against Salauddin Babu for attempting to murder people by set fire on vehicle in Savar and Ashulia after January 5 general election. After that, he remained on the run from police, the OC added.
 
He has been kept at Savar Thana custody, Kamruzzaman said.
