THAKURGAON: At least two people were killed and six others injured as a three-wheeler and a tractor made head-on collision in Ranisankail upazila of Thakurgaon district.

The deceased were identified as Sharif (35) of Haripur upazila and Liton (40) of Ranisankail.

The injured, Aleya (29), Saju (20), Babu (30), Bilkis (32), Jui (3) and Ashraful (30), have been admitted at Ranisagkail Upazila Health Complex and Dinajpur Medical College and Hospital.

The accident took place at Khutiatuli on Baliadangi-Ranisankail road around 7:30pm on Sunday.

Witnesses said that a passenger-carrying three-wheeler and a wood-laden tractor made the head-on collision leaving two dead on the spot.

Thakurgaon police super (SP) Farhat Ahmed informed banglanews about the matter.
