NOAKHALI:  Three people were killed when they inhaled toxic gas of a septic tank in Natun Bazar area of Char Kakra union in Companyganj upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Companyganj Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Sajedur Rahman Sajid told banglanews that the trio fell sick while they were cleaning the septic tank around 10:30am.

Locals rushed them to Companyganj Upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared them dead, he added.
