GAIBANDHA:  Two two-years-old twin toddlers drowned in a pond at Gardighi village in Sadar upazila of the district Wednesday.

The deceased were Yasin and Yakub, sons of Madhu Mia of the village.

Ramchandrapur Union (UP) chairman Rafiqul Islam told banglanews that the duo slipped and fall into the water at noon at one stage of playing near the pond.

Sensing the incident, family members rescued them and rushed to Gaibandha Sadar Adhunk Hospital where duty doctor declared them dead, he added.
