BSF detains 28 Bangladeshis in Thakurgaon frontier

THAKURGAON: A team of Border Security Force (BSF) detained 28 Bangladeshis from Betna frontier under Haripur Upazila of the district on Wednesday.

Betna camp commander of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Nayek Subedar Rabiul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said the detainees crossed the border in the morning to join in a brickfield in Panjab of India.

“The BSF-121 Battalion Kadirganj camp members detained them from Rashakua Bus stand area under Goalpukur Thana of North Dinajpur district in West Bengal of India early Wednesday,” he added.

Dinajpur-2 BGB Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Akhtar Ikbal told banglanews the BSF members handed them to Goalpukur police station before flag meeting.
