DHAKA: Miscreants issued a death threat to Somoy Prokashoni owner and ‘Muktijudda Kosh’ publisher Farid Ahmed.

Ahmed received SMS from 01721425008 cell number around 9:48am on Sunday, with a threat to his life.

According to the text message, ‘You published many books of atheists. Now, be prepare for death. Al-Ahrar, UK’.
 
Expressing concern about his safety and security, Farid told banglanews that he has informed police about the threat.

After discussion with friends, next decision will be taken, he added.

Earlier on Saturday, assailants hacked Jagriti publications owner Foysal Arefin Dipon to death in Shahbagh and chopped Suddhaswar owner Ahmedur Rashid Tutul, and two writers in city’s Lalmatia area.
