DHAKA: The government set to meet with authority of Facebook Sunday to sign deals with this popular social media.

The meeting is going to be held amid shut down of Facebook in Bangladesh for several weeks.

Two officials of facebook’s Asia Pacific region are scheduled to meet with State minister for post and telecommunication Tarana Halim, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Information and Communication Technology state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak at home ministry in city around 9:30am.

Post and Telecommunication department public relations officer (PRO) Enayet Hossain informed the development to banglanews.

Post and Telecommunication department wrote to the Facebook authority to sign deals regarding control on violence against women through misuse of popular social media.

And Facebook authority replied immediately after the letter was sent.
