CHITTAGONG: Police, in special drives, arrested 59 people, including wanted accused in several cases, from different upazilas of the district.

Moreover, 24 litres locally made liquor and 700 pieces of Yaba tablets have been recovered during the drives.

Additional superintendent of District police (Special Branch) Kazi Abdul Awal told banglanews that special teams of district police conducted the drive between Saturday night and Sunday dawn.

He also said of the arrestees, 49 were wanted accused while 10 were accused in regular case.

Besides, law enforcers 24 litres locally made liquor from Lohagara Uapzila and recovered 600 pieces of Yaba tablets from Chandanaish and 100 yaba tablets from Lohagara.
