DHAKA: A five-year child, who fell into a manhole in city’s Shyampur area on Tuesday afternoon, was rescued around 8:15pm.

On information, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.

Earlier around 4:45pm, Nirob, son of Mohammad Rezaul, fell into the manhole while playing in the area.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, fire service control room duty officer Bhajan Kumar Sarkar said that a group of fire fighters conducted rescue drives.
