DHAKA: Physicians declared a five-year child Nirob dead around 9:00pm. Earlier, he was rescued from a city manhole around 8:20pm Tuesday.

Nirob, son of Mohammad Rezaul, fell into the manhole while playing in the area around 4:45pm.

On information, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, fire service control room duty officer Bhajan Kumar Sarkar said that a group of fire fighters conducted rescue drives.
