DHAKA:  Sajeeb Wazed Joy, ICT adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said export earning from Information Technology (IT) sector will exceed readymade garment (RMG) sector soon.

He came up with the hope while addressing the first ever Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Summit at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in city’s Karwanbazar area on Wednesday.

He also said as many as 50,000 young people in the country will receive training on IT every year.



In last year, country’s 30,000 youths received training on IT, he added.

The ICT Division and Bangladesh Association of Call Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) jointly organized the two-day conference on December 9-10.

ICT state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak presided over the summit.
