DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Thursday announced her government’s mega plan to generate 60000MW electricity by 2041.

The premier made the disclosure while inaugurating some projects including power plant and laying foundation of some development projects through video conference.

As a part of the plan, govt currently generating 14500MW power, it will be 16000MW in 2016, 24000MW in 2021, 40000MW in 2031 and it will be raised to 60000MW in 2041, PM Hasina detailed.

She also sought assistance from all to implement the plan.

Later she opened four power stations, electrification in some villages, bridges and rail lines in different districts.
