DHAKA: Alcohol tester will remain at every check post of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) to ensure security of city dwellers during 31st night celebration.

Law enforcing agencies will boost vigilance of detectives in posh areas of the capital, including Dhaka University, to make sure high security.
 
Police in every check post will use alcohol tester to check people having drugs to avert anarchy. Police will brought those people, who will carry and drink alcohol, under law.

Sources concerned said police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) will remain vigilant in important areas of the capital to ensure higher security during 31st night (December 31). Plain clothed detectives will also remain active everywhere.

DMP source said DMP instructed all bars in city to keep close from December 30 ahead of 31st night celebration.

Detective police will boost vigilance in the areas where people gather. Besides, additional police will be deployed in important areas DU campus, Dhanmondi, Bonani and Gulshan.
 
Police said especially, vehicular movement will remain halted in DU area from 6:00pm on December 31.

DMP media center deputy-commissioner (DC) Sheikh Maruf Hasan Sarder told banglanews that police have taken all kind of preparation to ensure overall situation ahead of 31st night celebration.
