DHAKA: A Bangladesh delegation, led by foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali, left the country Monday on a three-day visit to Bahrain.

Foreign ministry sources said the minister undertook the visit after an invitation by Bahrain Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmad Al Khalifa.

The sources also said the minister will hold bilateral meetings with several leaders of the country.

He is also expected to sign several accords, including a Foreign Office Consultation agreement for holding regular meetings, with Bahrain during the visit.

The delegation is expected to return on December 24.
