GAIBANDHA: At least three people were killed and five others injured as heaps of mud and brick caved in near an under-construction bridge at Sadulyapur Upazila of the district Monday night.

The deceased were identified as A. Sattar, 60, Kakuli Begum, 12 and Abdul Kuddus, 30, hailed from Mandua area near the Nangerswar bridge of Gaibandha-Sadulyapur road.

Superintendent of police of Gaibandha Ashraful Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The injured were admitted to Sadulyapur Upazila Health Complex, he added.
