THAKURGAON: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a Bangladeshi on Boshalgaon border under Haripur upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Hemanta Kumar, 30, a cattle trader, son of one Jitendranath of the same upazila.

Locals said, he went to bring cattle from India along with others and died in BSF firing.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-42 Director Lieutenant Colonel Akhter Iqbal confirmed the matter.
