BRAHMANBARIA: Rashidul Hossain, honored as a shabda sainik of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, was buried at his family graveyard at Uttar Mourail in Brahmanbaria district town Tuesday evening.
He was buried under state honor after the second namaj-e-janaza at Mourail Jame Masjid after asr prayer.
Officials from district administration, district unit ruling Awami League (AL) leaders, freedom fighters and heads of several socio-cultural organizations, among others, paid tribute to the deceased.
Later, police gave guard of honor to Rashidul Hossain.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, the first namaj-e-janaza was held at Jatiya Betar Bhaban at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka.
Early at 4:00am, Rashidul Hossain, who fought against Pakistan occupation forces with music of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, breathed his last due to old age complexities at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Medical University (BSMMU) in city early Tuesday at the age of 80.
