GAZIPUR: Two young men were killed in a road accident on Dhaka bypass road in Mirerbazar area of Gazipur City Corporation on Friday night.

One of the deceased was identified as Swapan, 30, son of Surja Mohan of Ulukhola area of Gazipur.

Joydebpur Thana’s Pubail police camp in-charge M Faizur Rahman told banglanews that Swapan along with another youth was going to Ulukhola area in a motorcycle around 7:00pm.

When they approached at Dhaka bypass road, a truck ran over the motorbike, leaving two bikers dead on the spot, he added.

On information, police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue.
