FARIDPUR: Shamsur Rahman Shelu, retired professor of physics who served in many colleges, breathed his last due to cardiac arrest in the capital on Friday night.
He was 70.
He left behind two sons, four brothers, four sisters, relatives, hundreds of well-wishers and students to mourn his death.
His wife died two years back due to cancer.
He had been passing a retired life in Dhaka when he had authored a book on physics. He did his masters from University of Dhaka in 1968.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held after asar prayers Saturday (December 26) at Charkamalapur Jame Masjid and will be buried in the family graveyard at Charkamalapur.
