32 Bangladeshis held in Benapole

BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members on Saturday afternoon detained 32 Bangladeshi nationals including women and children, as they entered Bangladesh from India illegally.

They were held from Sadipur village in Benapole near Indian border.

Confirming the matter to banglanews Jessore 26 Battalion Benapole sadar BGB camp subedar Ayub Hossain said that on information BGB conducted a drive and nabbed 15 women, 12 men and five children as they entered Bangladesh illegally.

But the BGB could not hold the traffickers, he added.

According to the BGB camp subedar, the detainees have been handed over to Benapole thana, he added.

Beanpole Port Thana police sub-inspector (SI) Abdur Rahim said that the process of filing case for illegal crossing is underway.
