DHAKA: Dhaka Customs Authorities held a passenger with four kilograms of gold from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday night.

M Russel, 25, hailed from Comilla, arrived at the airport in a flight of Malaysian Airlines around 9:30pm.

Dhaka Customs assistant commissioner Shahiduzzaman informed the matter to banglanews.

Acting on tip off, he was detained with gold bars worth about Tk 2-crore, weighing four kilograms.

The process of taking legal action against the detainee was underway, Shahiduzzaman added.
