GAZIPUR: Two terrorists were killed during a raid in a den of banned outfit Jama'at ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Bhogra area of Gazipur city on Sunday midnight.

Immediately after the raid started at the house around 11:00pm, terrorists hurled bomb targeting the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-1.

RAB-1 media wing commander Mufti Mahmud Khan told banglanews, they had intelligence information that a gang of terrorists are staying at a house in Bhogra area. Then, RAB members raided the house.

In retaliation of bomb attack, RAB fired back for self-defense, Mufti Mahmud Khan added.

At a press briefing held at 2:0am of Monday, the RAB officer said it is the den of JMB. After raid, members of the elite force recovered huge explosives, bomb making materials and books from the den and nearby areas.

Following the drive, two dead bodies were recovered from inside the den. Explosion might be cause of their death. A RAB member was sent to hospital with severe injuries.
