BAGERHAT: Two forest robbers were killed in a ‘gunfight’ with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-8 in Tambul Bunia khal in Chandpai range of east Sundarbans of Bagerhat district.

The deceased were identified as Kashem alias Akash, 40, kingpin of Akash bahini and his deputy Farid alias Mazya, 45.
 
After the gunfight took place on Monday morning, the law enforcers recovered 17 foreign and locally made firearms, 450 rounds of bullets and huge victuals from the spot.

RAB-8 commander lieutenant colonel Faridul Alam informed the matter to banglanews.
